
Carolyn Haglan passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 25, 2025.
She was born in Santa Monica, California, to William Francis. and Launa C. Kelley and had four siblings: Patricia (Pat) Kelley, William Kelley, Marriane Wombacher, and Robert (Bob) Kelley. In 1962, she married David Haglan and together they built a beautiful life in the San Fernando Valley, raising four children before moving to Redding in 1975.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose loving, caring, and kind nature touched all who knew her. A woman of strength and deep faith, she lived her life as a devoted Catholic, guided by her values and her commitment to family and faith.
She is survived by her daughter Julie Furniss (John), sons Dennis (Leslie), Michael, and Kevin (Shonda); seven grandchildren—Jami, Joe, Nicholas, Natalie, Nathan, Hanna, and Kendra; and three great-grandchildren, Dexter, Jack, and Brooks.
Her legacy of love, resilience, faith, and kindness lives on through her family and in the many lives she touched.
A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy, 2600 Shasta View Dr., Redding.
