

Frank G Paulson, age 85, out beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully from heart disease on January 31, 2022 at his home in Redding with wife Linda by his side.
Born on June 16, 1936 on the "Island under the Market Street Bridge", in Redding, California. The son of Frank V. Paulson and Elsie Hedwig Geiser.
Frank was a pioneer and life long resident of Shasta County. At the age of 16 he started in the masonry business with is brother Eugene W. Bloch as a hod carrier. Frank was the owner of Golden Valley Masonry until his retirement at the age of 69. He worked in several states and was well respected with the mason and construction industries.
Frank married Linda Ballenger in 1958. Together they have two children Ralph Paulson from Redding and Renee Mitchell from Anchorage, Alaska.
Frank was a self-taught cook and baker. He owned and operated The Old Homestead on Market Street in Redding in the 80's. Frank loved to cook, garden, tending to his rose bushes or do a masonry project around the home. He loved to walk and visit with his neighbors. Frank supported his wife to her Beta Sigma Phi events for over 50 years.
He taught his family to love the outdoors with hunting, camping, fishing, or traveling to Alaska with his wife. Frank was a lifetime member of the Redding Elks Lodge and Little Country Church.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Linda of 63 years, son Ralph Paulson, daughter Renee Mitchell and son in law Tom, grandchildren Tawny and Tanna Paulson, sister Helen Greer, sister in law Joann Estrada (Chuck), along with many loving nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Frank is preceded in death by his infant son Ronny Paulson, parents, brother Eugene W. Bloch, sister Margaret Crew, mother in law Isabelle Bloch, father in law Walter Ballenger, and nephews Richard and Randy Rodrigues.
His death has left so many with a deep loss. Frank P will forever be missed.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:30am at the Redding Elks Lodge, 250 Elks Drive, Redding. All who knew Frank are welcome to attend and help celebrate his life.
