

Scott Schilling, age 57, passed unexpectedly at home on August 21, 2014 in Redding.
Scott was born March 18, 1957 in Mineola, New York.
Scott lived in Dallas, Texas before relocating to Redding, CA 6 years ago.
Scott attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, AZ, graduating in 1975; and also was in the Air Force Reserve. His primary career has been an IT Network Administrator for ThyssenKrupp Elevator where he was employed for the past 16 years.
Scott enjoyed all things outdoors and was a true sportsman. He loved to fish, boat, camp, target and skeet shooting among other things. He could always be found with his family or helping friends. Scott will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Scott is survived by daughter Stacy Richards; son Jeremy Schilling; son Kellen Scott Smith Schilling; grandson Matthew Richards, sister Gail Schilling (Jim Hewlett); sister Lynda Sabourin (Eric Sabourin) and numerous cousins and friends.
Predeceased by father Paul A. Schilling; mother Janet E. Higley.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 10:00 am at McDonalds Chapel, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, CA 96001. Contributions in his name can be made to the Redding Gun Club or Blood Centers of the Pacific of Northern California. Casual attire is appropriate.
