Nichols, Amy K., 96, our beloved mother, has finished her time on earth. Amy had been in declining health and spent her last years at Lucy Corr Village. The family will always be grateful to them for her excellent care. She was the daughter of Thomas and Alberta Wright. Mrs. Nichols outlived all of her siblings and her husband, Thurman Lee Nichols; two daughters, Ellen Marie and Deborah Katherine. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Wells (Monty); her three sons, Thurman (Jeanie), Manuel (Selena), and Donnie; many grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. On Saturday, December 6, 2014, the family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, December 7 at 1 p.m. at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
