Arthur Roland Pluger

PLUGER, Arthur R., 71, of Henrico, Va. passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by parents, Arvin and Betty Pluger; and daughters, Pamela and Mary Jean Pluger. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Pluger, Michael Pluger, and Derick Pluger (Stephen Glen); grandchildren, Elizabeth Pluger and Nigel Isom; siblings, Richard Pluger, Janice Trattles, Jimmy Pluger, and Dennis Pluger; as well as a multitude of other family members and friends. He worked as a lead mechanic for Nabisco and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Arthur received the Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #2099, the VFW, and the Nabisco Work Union. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 where services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery following the service.
