Barbara Sheffield Alley-Cyfers

Barbara Sheffield Alley-Cyfers, 80, peacefully took God’s hand on Monday, August 3, 2015. Always believing in God’s promise, she was reunited with her loved ones who preceded her in death, especially her son, Joey B. Alley, Jr.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Lori Emery (Tonie), and Barbara (“BJ”) Peace, her granddaughters Wendy Mallory (Ryan), Kristen Bennett (Andrew), Nicole and Erin Grace Peace, and her great-granddaughters Madison and Reece Mallory. Barbara is also survived by her sister Mildred Seslar and her brother Jimmy Sheffield. Barbara enjoyed the love and time spent with her many nieces and nephews.

She is a life-long resident of Highland Springs. Barbara owned her own business; Alley’s Maintenance Sales and Services and was a member of the Business Women’s Association.

Barbara will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend to all.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 2- 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, where services will be held Saturday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Va.
