Calvin Adderson Satterwhite

Born in Beaverdam, VA on March 8, 1926. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Blankenship Satterwhite, parents: Earnest Satterwhite and Olive Jane Arnold Satterwhite, brothers: Earnest Jr, George, Alonza, Clarence, Beauford and Lester Satterwhite, sisters: Minta Hicks and Marsha Hall.

Survived by stepdaughters: Vicki Kincaid, Rebecca Chancellor (Michael), Wanda Webb and JoAnn Grubbs (Lewis). He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He loved all music and played his guitar whenever he got a chance. Calvin also loved woodworking and was instrumental in providing wooden cars and trucks for the church to distribute at Christmas. Calvin was a long-time member of Pioneer Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

His remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA where family will receive friends, Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Funeral and interment will be held at gravesite in Washington Memorial Park, Friday, January 3, 2025 at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributes may be made to Pioneer Baptist Church, Richmond, VA.
