She was retired and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Ned C. Strathy, Sr.; sister, Shirley Jennette; and brothers, Wilmot Strathy and Ned C. Strathy, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Kendrick Hylton and Matthew Hylton; granddaughter, Grace Caroline; sisters, Rachel Brackett and Mary Teixeira; brother, Raymond Strathy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond.
