He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy; brother, Carlton Bennett; children; grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
He retired as a SGT in the Marine Corps. After many years of service, and then went on to retire from the Post Office.
The family will receive friends 6 pm to 8 pm, Monday, September 22 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA.
A graveside service will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, September 23 at Washington Memorial Park.
