Chuck Corbin

Charles William “Chuck” Corbin, 93, of Varina, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Dutter Corbin; four siblings; first wife, Sally S. Corbin; second wife, Carolyn B. Corbin; and companion, Charlotte Wright. Chuck worked as a general manager with Goodyear Tire Co. and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a Mason. Chuck had many interests and hobbies including: flying planes, model airplanes, collecting clocks, and woodworking. He loved to fix things and was a true “Mr. Fix-It”. Chuck also enjoyed spending time boating on Lake Gaston. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sandra Corbin Byrd (Lonnie), Terry Allen Corbin (Mary); step-children, Donnie Martin (Pat), Diane Brownie; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1925 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220, with funeral service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be livestreamed. Interment will be held at a later date in Butler County Memorial Park & Mausoleum, Butler, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
