Daisy Mae Bowery

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Daisy Silva; her grandmother, Claudia Arnold; and her brother, Danny Silva. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 60 years, Richard Bowery, and her children: Jimmy Bowery (Sherry), Ricky Bowery, Susan Carter, Kenny Bowery, and Michael Bowery. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Brandon Bowery (Heather), Austin Bowery, Destiny Maxey (Jaime), Haleigh Stout (Brandon), Noah Bowery, Miranda Wingfield, Dalton Bowery (Sam), Kayla Cheatham (Chase), Mary Bowery, and Alexis Bowery, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Her siblings Claudia Martin, Rose Isbell (Bobby), and Frank Silva (Ginger) also survive her.

Daisy had a passion for bowling, the beach, the river, and fishing . She was an avid crafter and loved all holidays, particularly enjoying dressing up for Halloween and decorating for Christmas. She was also instrumental in organizing the annual family Easter picnic, a cherished tradition for over 100 years.

Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, located at 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia, on February 19, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same location on February 20, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by entombment at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Virginia, at 11:00 am.
