CHENAULT, Doris E., 88, of Richmond, went to be with our Lord on March 6, 2019. She was born on November 15, 1930. Doris was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Chenault Sr.; mother, Nellie M. Chenault; brother, Robert E. Chenault Jr.; and sisters, Eunice C. Branscome and Louise C. Lynch. She is survived by her nephews, Glenn Branscome, Dale Chenault; and nieces, Patricia Williams, Jennifer Thompson and Shirley Parker. Doris was a second mother to many, a babysitter, a caregiver and rejoiced in our God Almighty. Her most enjoyable times were with family and she cherished her cats. She traveled all over the USA with family. Even though she had a hearing impairment her whole life, it didn’t stop her. The mutual love and understanding between her and others created the bond. She will be truly missed. The family will receive friends on March 17, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231, where services will be be held at 12 noon Monday, March 18, 2019. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
