ARMSTRONG, Mrs. Dorothy Goodwin, "Dot," of Mechanicsville, Va., a retired bookkeeper with Jacobs Music, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, August 18, at 11:10 p.m. Dot was predeceased by her husband, Leroy "Army." She was the last surviving sibling from a family of 11 children of the late Milton and Annie Goodwin of Burkeville, Va. After graduating from Farmville High School, she married the late Jack McComb of which she is survived by her three children, Dr. J.C. McComb and his wife, Joyce, of Richmond, Va.; Bruce McComb and his wife, Mimi, of Tappahannock Va. and Sharon McComb of Petaluma, Calif. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Justin and Andrew McComb, Shelby Kersey, Sarah Ashworth; and eight great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends Friday, August 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22. Interment Washington Memorial Park.
