KING, Eddie, 70, of New Kent, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016. He served four years in the U.S. Army Band and was a member of Fairmont Christian Church, the Masons and the Scottish Rite Temple. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Bonnie King; and is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandy King; daughter, Stacey Gallup; granddaughter, Autumn; and uncle, Bobby Smith. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, at Fairmont Christian Church, 6502 Creighton Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111. Interment will be private.
