Elizabeth Wade Isham

Elizabeth Wade Isham, 85, of Richmond passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Dewey Wade, Sr. and Tony Andrew Isham and her parents, William Walker, Sr. and Anna McMullin Walker. She was a former employee of the Christian Children’s Fund and was a member of Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Robert D. Wade, Jr., William W. Wade (Elizabeth) and Lester R. Wade; five grandchildren, David Magner, Robert D. Wade III (Danielle), Tina J. Davis (Steven), Jennifer “Nikie” Wade Phibbs (Joseph) and Rebecca Diane Wade; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob Magner, Ashle N. Wade, Nicholas T. Carroll, Colby J. Carroll, Steven V. Davis, Jr., Alyssa F. Wittington, Savannah F. Davis and Kayla N. Phibbs; sister, Mary Foote (James); and brother, William A. Walker, Jr. (Minnie). The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, August 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA where services will be held Thursday, August 14, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Ave., Richmond, VA. Arrangements under the direction of Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, Richmond, VA.
