Herb, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Anna Gordon.
Herb was an Asst. Director of the training center for Dominion Power Company. He was a Christian and a loving husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and hiking through the woods.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Sue Gordon; Children, Travis Gordon, Jeremy Gordon (Hazel Theresa); grandchildren, Tristan Gordon, Kyla Watson, Seth Gordon, Monica Thacker and Cora Gordon; sibling, Garry L. Gordon.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm, Friday, May 15th, 2026 at the Reception Center at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4660 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231
