John Henry Posenau, Jr.

POSENAU, John Henry, 90, of Henrico, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. He was a retired automotive mechanic and member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. He attended John Marshall High School, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, Company E, 1947. He was the Past Master of Thomas N. Davis Lodge, No. 351 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of Varina Lodge, No. 272 A.F. & A.M. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores K. Posenau; and is survived by his son, Dr. Jerry L. Posenau (Linda); grandson, Dr. J. Trevor Posenau (Lauren); great-grandson, John Frederick Posenau; numerous nieces and nephews and many devoted friends. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, at 11:30 a.m. at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Avenue, Richmond, Va 23231. Following a reception at the church, interment will be at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church.
