She was the daughter of Thomas Wesley Snipes, of Richmond, and Elizabeth L. Purcell (nee Eybers), both of whom pre-deceased her. Surviving siblings include Thomas Harry Snipes, of Richmond, and Jane Snipes Treichler, of Fredericksburg, Virginia. One nephew, Wesley Carter Snipes of Richmond, and one niece, Tommie Christine Melendez (nee Treichler), of Midlothian, as well as two grand-nieces and one grand-nephew share in her loss. Her family loved her deeply and she will be missed.
A 1964 graduate of Highland Spring High School, Ms. Snipes went on to work for the State of Virginia. Her interests included gardening, home making, and family gatherings. Judy spent her final years at the Blue Ridge Assisted Living facility in Richmond.
A private family burial will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Richmond. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Meals on Wheels Foundation.
