Thompson, Lana P., 83, of Sandston, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jimmie Thompson; son, Andy Thompson (Sharon) grandsons, Jeremy Thompson and Patrick Thompson (Danielle). Lana was a faithful member of Fairmount Christian Church, the Bill Farmer Sunday School Class, the Forever Young Group, and the Worship Choir. The family would like to thank all of their friends and church family for all the love they have received, Lana’s hospice nurses Diane, Jim, and Josef, and Lana’s caregiver Carrie, for all of the exceptional love and care they have all shown their family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm -8pm, at Nelsen Funeral Home; 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday December 6, 2013 at 1pm at Fairmount Christian Church; 6502 Creighton Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.Interment in Washington Memorial Park.
