He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; Daughter, Charlotte; grandson, Christopher; father, Robert Lewis Bolton; mother and stepfather, Maude Harris and Kenneth Stark.
After school, Lewis joined the Army and then went to work for the U.S. Post Office. He loved fishing and gardening and above all, his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Wright and husband, Stephen; sons, Lewis Randolph Bolton and Douglas Bolton; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Herzig and husband, Al and an intimate circle of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends 4 to 7 pm, Tuesday, January 31 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, where a funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 1. Interment will be at 1pm at Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in his name to the charity of your choice.
