I just heard of Squeaky's passing when running into Trey, another former Sandston Jet, recently. Like many others I have great memories playing with Mike for the Jets and against Mike on the baseball field. He was such a talent. He also had a great memory as I bumped into him at the hospital when his son was born, as I also had a son born at the same time. He knew exactly who I was despite not seeing each other since the early 80s at the latest. It was nice to reconnect with him and bring back some good memories at the time. God Bless Mike's family at this time.

I worked with Mike when I started the apprenticeship.  I learned a great deal from him, and will always owe him a lot.  He was a great electrician, and even greater person.  He will be missed.

RIP Squeaky.  You're a good man who gave others a laugh & a smile always.  Blessings & prayers to your family & our friends.  We all have a wonderful guardian angel...

Squeaky and I went to Sandston Elementary School and played football and baseball together. He impressed me with his confidence, intelligence,toughness and running SPEED. He was a blazing fast runner and a star at both sports. My favorite memory is he was the only kid at Sandston Elementary who could beat me in sprinting the 50 yard dash. He was faster than me, but our times were usually close, but he usually won everytime. Yet, a day came in fourth grade during the fitness testing that I was determined to beat him at least once in the 50 yard dash. I ran faster that day than any other occasion with every thing I had in me. The physical education teacher told me I had beaten Squeaky by .02 or 2/10 of point! I couldn't believe it. Well, we had fun with competing against each other. Lots of good memories. Hope to see him in Heaven one day to explore the Universe.

I was so sad to hear about Squeaky's passing.We went to elementary school together.I saw him and talked with him through the years.I talked to him, his wife, and son at the store all the time when I worked in Quinton.We both had one child the same age. I will pray for his family at this most difficult time. He loved his family.

A celebration of his life will be held June 7th from 1-4 @ OAK HALL BAPTIST CHURCH, 1877 OLD HANOVER RD, SANDSTON, VA 23150. VERY CASUAL IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL, FOOD, DRINKS AND GREAT STORIES.... HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE.

I worked with Mike on and off through the past 6 years. He taught me countless things throughout my apprenticeship. I will always remember him cracking jokes and making everyone's day just that much better with his humor. He will be missed by many and remembered as the good hearted soul he was.

Friendship is not measured on the amount of time spent together but rather the quality of the time spent together. Honor Squeaky by reconnecting with an old friend. One that brings about a smile with just the thought of their name.......just like Squeaks. RIP Michael "Squeaky" Cridlin, you will truly be missed.

 He was my friend and I am only sorry I didnt tell him enough how much I loved him and how much his friendship meant to me .I will miss you my brother.2-3 hand off on one.....there goes Squeak up the middle for another touchdown....(He knows what I am talking about)Until we meet again my friend.

Mike worked for us at Verizon Wireless and did an outstanding job each and every time.  He never complained and always found a way to solve a problem.  He was truly dedicated, a good person and we all spoke with him each time he came to work for us.  We were devastated to learn of his passing.  We will never forget him.  We hope and pray for all his family and friends.

Mike was a good friend and mentor. he was like a brother to me.I will always remember the good times we shared.He will always be forever in our hearts and memories.May God keep him and give many blessings for his loved ones.

Squeaky and I have been friends since apprenticeship school..he was a good friend, a good electrician and a good union brother...Andy and I send our love and prayers to Tina and Jacob  and all the family. He will be missed and long remembered!

I've known Sqeak and his family since we were children, he was a great man and loved his family and he will be missed.

A special bond that all of " Benny 's Boys" shared. We did not have to see each other often to always have that life long connection. Squeaky was at the very core of that fraternity. A part of my life shared with a very special group that I still look back on with fond memories today. I can still see # 22 flying down the field in the old maroon and white. Rest in peace brother

Prayers for all of you.  He always made me laugh and he looked out for me when I was a freshman and he was a senior..he was just that kind of guy.  So sorry to hear of this.

I want everyone that logs onto this site to know that we will be having a wake open to everyone that loved Mike on June 7th at Oak Hall Baptist Church on Old Hanover Road from 1:00 to 4:00 - very casual because we just honestly want to CELEBRATE Mike's life!

So Sorry to hear about "Squeak's" passing.  He is someone I will never forget.  It was a great pleasure playing sports and attending school with him. Rest in Peace Squeaky!

It was a pleasure teaching and coaching Michael "Squeaky" Cridlin ay Varina HS . He was a standup player who his teammates and coaches could count on. Once he even gave me the "Geech" .. God bless his memory on earth and his soul in heaven.

"Squeaky" and I go way back to Sandston Jets football. I hadn't seen him for years when he showed up at my daughter's viewing and visitation this past February. God will care for him and his his caring heart now.

I remember playing football with Michael, AKA Squeaky, with the jets and coach Benny.  We won multiple championships.   Another favorite memory is a block party in Reedsville, Va  Squeaky took the mic and sang, "hey joe".  Best childhood memories.  Squeaky will be missed but never forgotten.
