Paul Randall Chapman Sr.

Paul Randall Chapman, Sr., 78, of Sandston, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. He was born in Coal Grove, OH and was a U. S. Navy Veteran aboard the USS Forrestal. He retired from Lucent Technologies and was a member of the American Legion Post 144, Masonic Lodge, Richmond, Randolph 19, Scottish Rite and the Shriners. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart and soul. He loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. and Annie Chapman; and grandchildren, Jessica Gallmeyer and Amanda Irby. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane Chapman; son, Paul R. “Randy” Chapman, Jr. (Caren); daughter, Lisa Grosse (Rod); granddaughter, Olivia Chapman; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, May 14, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park.
