GILES, Vernon, 92, of Sandston, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Frances B. Giles. Vernon was a Seabee in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was retired from Eastern Airlines. He was a member of the Sandston Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post 242. Mr. Giles is survived by his wife, Bobbie C. Giles; daughter, Carol Kelly (John); sons, Johnny Giles (Trish) and Michael Giles (Cathy); grandchildren, Brennan, Brian, Garrett, Hayden, Beth, Alec, Christian and Baylie; brother, Franklin E. Giles; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sandston Presbyterian Church, 13 N. Confederate Ave., Sandston, Va. 23150, where a memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. Interment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandston Presbyterian Church.
