Walter L. Armistead

Walter L. Armistead 87, of Sandston went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 22nd, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma G. Armistead, father, Walter L. Armistead Sr., sister Dorothy A. Jones and daughter, Gail A. Horrocks. Walter is survived by his wife of thirty two years Charlene Armistead, his daughters, Debbie(Garnett) Smith, Barbie(Wayne) Mangum, his son in law Jimmy Horrocks, his brother, David(Shirley)Armistead, and his aunt, Elsie G. Valente. Seven grandchildren, Walter(Lisa) Smith, Emion (Matt) Hearn, Melissa(Justin) Burke, Eric and Ryan Horrocks and Anthony and Zack Brown; Eight great grandchildren; Madisyn, Kensley and Berkeley Smith, Kayleigh and Dalton Brown, Byrdie Hearn and Finley and Pearl Burke. Walter, PFC was a Marine Veteran. He was a faithful member of Fairmount Christian Church. Walter retired from Henrico Co. after years as a foreman. Walter loved his family and would help anyone, his wisdom will be missed by many. Special thanks to Intrepid Hospice Team.
