William "Donnie" Donald Roach

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Cox; his father, James William Roach Jr.; his cousin, Brian Darryl Reed Sr.; and his niece, Melody Lynn Roach.

Donnie was a dedicated member of the Worldwide Church of God and a longtime employee of Expressway Pallets, Inc., where he was known as a diligent worker and a model employee. He took pride in his work and was appreciated for being dependable and hardworking. Donnie loved animals, and his best friend was his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Josie.

He is survived by his mother, Linda C. Roach; his siblings, Angela "Angie" L. Thompson and James "Ronnie" Ronald Roach; his nephew, Donald R. Thompson Jr.; and his niece, Candice N. Thompson (Luther West). He also leaves behind great nieces and nephews, Kai West, Landon Brown, Ryleigh Upton, and Randyn Upton, as well as his aunts, Shirley J. Reed and Joyce E. Roach. Donnie is remembered fondly by his cousins, David W. Reed, Ricky C. Ferrell, Chris L. Ferrell, Janet L. Roberts, and Steven R. Reed, along with beloved friends, Debbie Harris and Dave Johnson.

A visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, located at 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
