Josephine Carmela Malcovich

September 11, 1947 to July 13, 2026

Josephine Carmela Malcovich ("Jo") passed away peacefully on Monday July 13th, 2026 at the age of 78, with her beloved and devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Martin, by her side. Over her final weeks, she was comforted by the frequent visits of dear friends and family.

Family was at the center of Jo's life. She was the loving mother of Tanya, and the cherished grandmother (Nunna) of Phil and Madison. Jo is survived by four older sisters, Gina, Ennie, May, and Antoinette, as well as her fifth sister and twin Thersea, with whom she shared an unbreakable, lifelong bond.

She was a dear sister-in-law to Salvatore, and a deeply caring aunt to her nephews, John and his wife Krista, and Micheal and his wife Jennifer. She will also be fondly remembered by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher, Julia, Daniel, and Liliana.

She is also remembered by her brother-in-law Corey and his wife Kimberly; her nephews and niece Michael, Spencer, and Chelsea; and her great-nieces Winnie, Murphy, Tommy, Meeri, and Keevi.

Outside of her family, Jo was a passionate and avid "ten-pin" bowler for her entire adult life, loving both the challenge of the game, as well as the many friends she made along the way.

The family wishes to thank the Administration, Staff, Nurses, PSWs and her friends at Crescent Park Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario, for their care and friendship while she was a Resident at the Lodge.

Josephine's final wish was to "go home" to her room at Cresent Park Lodge for her final days in palliative care. Special thanks go to the Nurses and PSWs who took care of her continuously during that time.

There will be no Funeral or Services in accordance with Josephine's wishes. A simple memorial gathering/reception will take place for relatives and friends at Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Road N., in Ridgeway, Ontario, on August 25th, 2026, from 1PM to 3PM.
