June Kathleen Saari

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of June Kathleen Saari, who left us peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 98.

June found joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether she was admiring the beauty of nature, spending time outdoors, or enjoying the companionship of her dog, Molly, she appreciated the quiet moments that made life meaningful.

Her kitchen table was the heart of her home. Her family was always welcome to pull up a chair, share a favourite treat, and spend time chatting. She loved keeping up with the news, discussing sports, especially questioning the decisions made by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and hearing all about the adventures, accomplishments, and everyday stories of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those conversations, filled with laughter, curiosity, and love, became treasured memories for everyone who shared them.

For 20 years, she proudly volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary, giving generously of her time and making a lasting difference in her community through her caring spirit.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, her quiet strength, her unwavering love for her family, and her appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Brenda (Bob) Warner; her son, Jim (Paula) Stehling; her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Stehling; her grandchildren, Kevin (Tiffany) Stehling, Amanda Stehling, Adam (Amanda) Stehling, Jackelyn (John) Murray, and Kayelyn (Jeremy) Courchesne ; and her beloved great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mae Troupe; her sons, Leonard Stehling and Randy Stehling; her husband, Bill Stehling; and her cherished companion, Elmer Saari.

A service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Snyder, on Thursday July 30th at 11 am where family and friends are invited to gather and honour a life so well lived.

May we honour her memory by sharing stories around the kitchen table, enjoying life's simple pleasures, and loving one another as she always did.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
