February 25, 1933 – June 24, 2026
Our beloved Marguerite, known to most as Maggie, and affectionately as “Maggie Muffins'” to her immediate family, passed away peacefully in her 93rd year on June 24, 2026.
Marguerite had the biggest heart and was one of the most loving, caring souls you could ever meet. Her hugs were unforgettable—she had a way of truly melting into them, making everyone feel safe, welcomed, and deeply loved. Her smile and laughter were infectious, the kind that could fill a room and stay with you long after you left.
Married to her one and only, Glenn Held. Together they built a beautiful family legacy. She was the proud mother of six children, Owen Held, Linda (Cliff) Foebel, Gwen Ball (Mark), Carolyn Held, Marilyn Betzold, and Jackie Clements. She was one of ten siblings and carried those bonds with her throughout her life.whom she loved deeply and who will forever carry her love with them. Her family continued to grow to include 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her kindness, warmth, and steady presence. She was Aunt Maggie, a Beaver lady at Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High-school, and devoted Sundays spent at Windmill Point Church.
She always kept her home on Rosehill open to family, a place filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness. It was the backdrop for countless family dinners, family reunions, a place where memories were made without even trying. From snowmobiling to summers spent on Weslemkoon Lake and time at Tanglewood Marina, her life was rich with family, tradition, and love.
To say our family is heartbroken would be an understatement, but we take comfort in knowing she is at peace. We imagine her now reunited with the ones who passed before her, together again.
Maggie Muffins' love lives on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every hug that still feels like home
Family and friends will gather at Williams Funeral Services on Sunday June 28th from 4 -7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Selkirk Baptist Church on Monday at 11 o'clock.
