

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Sterry on June 4, 2026 at the age of 77.
Phyllis was born on July 24, 1948, in Fort Erie to Thelma and Hayden Sterry (deceased). She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.
She was a devoted Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. Phyllis spent her professional life working for the Federal Government in the Canada Employment Department.
She took great pride in her accomplishments in the world of music; being very talented with multiple instruments including accordion, piano and guitar as well as being a passionate vocalist and music teacher.
Her pride and joy was her cottage on Paint Lake in Lake of Bays, in which she spent many years with family and friends creating wonderful and lasting memories.
Phyllis was a person of great faith and devoted many years of service to the Faith Reformed Church of which she was an original member and was much loved by the congregation who worked and worshipped with her.
She is survived by her brother Lee (Linda) Sterry, nephews Stephen Sterry, Dean (Christine) Sterry, cousins Frank (Tammy) Simpson, David Jones, Stephanie (Kevin) Flint, John Barron as well as Patty, Katie and Peter Rocco. Phyllis was a much-cherished Great Aunt to DJ, Ella, Ace and Charlotte Sterry. She is lovingly remembered by Amanda (nee Simpson) Tessier and God Daughter Dana Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Sunday, June 14 at Williams Funeral Services located at 772 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway, Ontario.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, June 15 at Faith Reformed Church, 3605 Black Creek Road, Stevensville, Ontario. All are WELCOME !!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Faith Reformed Church or The Humane Society in her memory.
Phyllis will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
