Mark Byszkowski of Rochester Hills, MI passed away on September 22, 2019 at the age of 63. Mark was born in Detroit on August 10, 1956 to his parents Walter and Theresa Byszkowski. He married his wife Jan Byszkowski on November 22, 1986. Mark was a proud graduate of Henry Ford High School, and entered the work force as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. Once his beloved daughters were born he became “Mr. Mom” and raised them fulltime. After they started school, Mark continued serving the community in Rochester through his lawn care business. Mark later took up umpiring for the United States Tennis Association and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. He took care of others, volunteering at the Baldwin Center’s soup kitchen in Pontiac, and at the Heritage Days Festival. During his free time he loved to ride his motorcycle, golf, camp, and of course he enjoyed tennis.
He is survived by his wife Jan; his daughters Ashley and Kirstin Byszkowski; brother Paul (Pam) Byszkowski; sister in law Jane Byszkowski; and his brother in law Dan Giebel.
Mark’s family will be holding a visitation on Tuesday October 1, 2019 from 3 PM to 8 PM at Pixley Funeral Home located at 322 W. University Dr. Rochester, MI 48307. A service will be held the next day on October 2, 2019 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood Ave, Rochester, MI 48307, at 12 PM with the family accepting visitors from 11:30 until time of service.
