Ann was born the daughter of Cecil and Ruth (See) Cocroft in Pontiac, Michigan on January 6, 1933. She graduated from Rochester High School, class of 1950 and married William Van Voorhees on July 1, 1950. Ann had a career with Parke Davis, retiring after many years.
Ann loved flowers, gardening, and country music. In earlier years she loved to travel the country with her husband in their camper. In later years she enjoyed her lunches with friends, her cats, and always helping others.
Ann is survived by her children Deborah (Robert) Bell, Cheryl (Rick) Hubbard, Michael Van Voorhees, and William (Beth) Van Voorhees; grandchildren Sarah Williams, Laura (Chris) Lundquist, Angela (Reid) Campbell, Eric (Candice) Schmidt, David (Elizabeth) Schmidt, Rachel (Pat) Sharon, Myles Hubbard, Taylor Van Voorhees, and Haley Van Voorhees; great-grandchildren Alexander Lundquist, Anya Marie Lundquist, Eli Williams, Zofia Williams, Daniel Schmidt, and Isabella Schmidt; sister Dolores (Claude) Eichelberger; and her special niece Pam Johnston. Ann was predeceased by her parents; her sister Patsy Knickerbocker, and great-grandson Rhys Schmidt.
Ann’s family will welcome everyone to a visitation on Saturday December 11, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. A reception will follow. Burial will be private.
