

MOORE, Arthur D, age 94, of Rochester, MI, passed away January 6, 2015 surrounded by his family. Arthur was born November 19, 1920 to Daniel and Ella Moore in Detroit, MI. He married the love of his life, Janet, in Detroit on July 14, 1951. Arthur served his country honorably in WWII as a signalman in the Navy on the USS Independence. After the war, he was employed as a mechanical engineer at Fischer Body. Arthur enjoyed dancing, reading, gardening, traveling, golfing, and most notably, taking out his 1975 Caprice Classic Convertible for a spin. Arthur is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Bob (Nancy) Moore, Trisha (Den) Carter, Kathy Liddie, Dan (Julie Ann) Moore, and Ted Moore; grandchildren, Brandi, Matt, Tom, Benjamin, Christine, Joseph, Melissa, Robin, and Tony; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Carter, Maddie, David, Jewel, and Logan. Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 p.m, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W University Dr, Rochester. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m, Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. John Fischer Chapel University Parish, 3665 E Walton Blvd, Auburn Hills, Visitation starting at 9:30 a.m, Fr. Jerome Brzezinski to officiate. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
