Barbara J. Vandewater, age 87, of Rochester, passed away December 7, 2020. She was born in Lander, Wyoming on July 29, 1933. Barbara graduated from Cass Technical High School and received a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree from Mercy College of Detroit. She married Richard L. Vandewater on June 20, 1959. Barbara spent many years as a nurse at Beaumont Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years Richard; children Greg (Karrie) Vandewater and Mark Vandewater; grandchildren Brad (Shirley) Vandewater, Eric (Sharmayne) Vandewater, Sara (Austin) Hill and 6 great grandchildren.
