Callam Kenneth Spangler, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, was taken away from us on October 4, 2025, at the age of 20. He was born on May 26, 2005, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Chris and Joanne Spangler. While he lived in many places growing up Callam considered Rochester Hills as his home. Callam graduated from Rochester High School in 2023 and his life really began to blossom after high school. He enrolled in the Electrician Apprentice Program at the Southeast Michigan Construction Academy and started working with Rocco Ciaramella at his home and small business improvement company where he learned many hands-on skills. Callam enjoyed online gaming with his friends playing a variety of collaborative games, while Lego allowed him to express his creativity, both by free-building and constructing models from kits. In the winter he enjoyed snowboarding with his friends and family in Michigan and Colorado. And when the weather was nice he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his loving parents, Christopher Spangler and Joanne (nee Stuart) Spangler; his kind and patient sister, Katelyn Spangler; his aunts, Karen (Kent) Scranton and Myriam Kpotufe; his cousins, Brenden Scranton and Kristen Scranton; his involved grandparents, Allan and Carole Spangler, as well as Terry Stuart and Ulrik Eriksson; his bonus siblings Haley Beebe and Cameron Neil; his bonus mother Sharon Miedema; and his special friends Matthew, Lawson, Charlie, Zach, Jack, Colin, Jack, Zack, Jon and many others.
A memorial service will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan, 48307, on October 18, 2025, at 3:00 pm followed by a memorial gathering from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. To honor Callam's wishes, he will not be physically present at the service but will be there in spirit. We welcome anyone to join us in celebrating his life. For those who cannot attend we invite you to light a candle in his honor to celebrate the joy he brought to the world.
