

Carol Marie Greania passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family after bravely battling cancer. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.
Carol leaves behind Jim, her beloved husband of 50 years, her four children: Christopher (Chris) Henley, and wife Suzette (Sue) Henley (née Visnaw) and their son Lucas, and Christopher’s daughter Natasha Varney (née Henley) and her husband William Varney; Jayson Henley; Amie Gomez (née Greania) and husband Jose Gomez, along with their two children Miguel and Sophia; Angela Greania; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family, and especially her grandchildren, were her greatest joy, and she found endless delight in their achievements and happiness.
Carol is also survived by her sisters, Patricia (Patty) Westerby (née Barrons) and her husband Daniel (Danny) Westerby; Cathy Mullins (née Barrons); her sister-in-law Mary Barrons (née Sarles); and her sister-in-law Jean Trisch (née Greania) and husband Victor Trisch, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
An avid gardener, bird lover and camper, Carol’s love for nature was illustrated in the vibrant blooms and lush greenery she cultivated around her home and at her daughter Angie’s home in South Lyon. She took a great deal of personal pride in her gardening abilities and got many compliments from friends and neighbors. She cherished spending time camping with her family, creating countless and cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bo (William) Barrons, brother-in-law Lowell Mullins, and her parents, Billy and Bonnie Barrons, whom she dearly missed.
In accordance with her wishes, Carol’s body has been donated to a local university for the advancement of medical education. Her selfless contribution will continue to help others and further medical research and training.
Her immediate family wishes to extend their gratitude for the support and love shown by family, friends, and community during this difficult time.
Carol's gentle spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
