Cecelia Morales was born in Detroit, Michigan to Isadore and Marie Heard. She was an only child. Cecelia was educated through the Detroit Public School system and went on the obtain her Associate’s Degree from Wayne County Community College. She also had many passions and talents. Cecelia was a professional singer with the Warney’s Ruhl Orchestra, a successful entrepreneur, and an aspiring author. Cecelia married Jorge Morales on October 2nd, 1976 and they were married for 37 years until his death on May 22nd, 2013. Cecelia was an active member of the St. Irenaeus Catholic Church and loved walking her dog Poquito.
Cecelia is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jorge and her parents Isadore and Marie. Cecelia is survived by: her aunts, Viola Hunter (Maryland) and Robbie Robinson (Georgia); her uncle, Herman Haynes (Michigan); her cousins, Luis and Maria Perez, along with their children Luis Jr., Natali, Maribel, Abraham, and Marc; her goddaughter, Grace Lee; her best friend, Iris Diaz; her dog, Poquito and many cousins and friends.
