Charles Joseph Weis

Born on December 17, 1933, in Peru, Indiana, Charlie was a proud graduate of Peru High School. He went on to earn his Master’s degree from Indiana University.

On June 8, 1957, he married the love of his life, the late Ruth Joan Carlin. They shared many wonderful years together, raising a family and building a life grounded in love and faith. Charlie enjoyed a distinguished career in wage negotiations with Chrysler Corporation, where he worked for over 30 years. He had a lifelong passion for reading, was a devoted fan of Notre Dame football, and, above all, cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his children: Christine Lockwood, Diane Wall, Jeff (Ellen) Weis, and Kevin (Christine) Weis. He was a proud grandfather to: Michael (Dana) Wall, Eric (Nicole) Wall, Ryan (Lindsey) Wall, Erin (Joshua) Narusch, Charles Jacob Weis, Joshua Weis, Justin (Jasmine) Weis, Stephen (Alyssa) Lockwood, and Nicholas (Danielle) Lockwood. Charlie is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI, with an evening rosary service. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 27, 771 Old Perch Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 at 11:00 a.m., with in-state viewing beginning at 10:30 a.m.
