

Christina (Tina) Lins, 82, of Auburn Hills, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022. Tina was born in Detroit, MI on February 3rd, 1940 to Anthony and Victoria Cicillini. She attended St. Anthony High School in Detroit. She was the first in her family to attend college and graduated from the University of Detroit with a master’s degree in mathematics. After graduation, she worked at US Army TACOM in Warren, Michigan for 30 years as a mathematician. She married William Lins on January 6th, 1968 at St. Veronica church in East Detroit.
Tina was hard working, strong-willed and determined. Her academic and career successes were impressive and an inspiration to others. Tina was generous with her time, talents, and resources. She was a patient math tutor and helped a great many people through countless hours of volunteer work and financial support of the catholic church and numerous charities.
Tina was passionate about spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling for ski trips in Colorado and to attend theater shows. She belonged to various clubs and remained close to her Kappa Beta Gamma sorority sisters long after graduation. Tina loved organizing and attending social gatherings. Whether it was a family meal or a large party, Tina wanted to be part of the fun. She will be forever loved and remembered by her family and many friends.
Tina is survived by her husband of 54 years, William Lins, her daughter Karen Childers, son-in-law Nate Childers, and her son William Lins. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Julie Lins. She is also survived by her sister Catherine D'Annunzio, brothers Benny and Frank Cicillini, sisters-in-law Betty and Linda, grandchildren Melissa, Zack, Ashley, Claire, and Hannah, and great-grandchildren Elijah and Dean.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00PM (memory sharing 7:00-8:00) on Wednesday, October 19 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W University in Rochester. A memorial mass with lunch immediately following will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 20 at St. John Fisher Chapel, 3665 Walton Blvd, Auburn Hills.
