David Garnett DeWitt, 87, of Rochester, passed away on day Thursday October 5th, 2017. David was born the son of Garnett and Thelma DeWitt in Detroit on September 9, 1930. He joined the Navy and served his country for four years. David married Jan DeWitt on October 14, 1978 in Rochester Michigan. He had a career as a chemical analyst working for J & L Steel. David loved to golf. He is survived by his wife Janet; his children Cindy Golembeck (David), Diane Hudgens (Gary), Michelle Kelly, Chris Kelly (Kim), and Tim Kelly (Joanne); his grandchildren Karena Brennan (Michael), Haley, Regan, Kevin, and Michael Kelly, and Thomas Hunter; and great-grandchildren Jaxson and Karson Brennan, and Sophia Kelly. David will be inurned at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday November 3rd, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.
