Eileen D. Eardley

EARDLEY, Eileen D., age 74 of Livonia, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was born on September 24, 1941, in Detroit, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Tanceusz) Smith. Eileen graduated from Pershing High School in 1959 and received a B.A. Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1963. She was married to Alva T. Eardley on January 18, 1964. Eileen was a member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Livonia and had a passion for family, education, gardening, reading and pets. She will be greatly missed. Eileen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alva Eardley, son Rev. David (Sara) Eardley, daughter Nancy (Dan) Van Loon, and grandsons Ryan Eardley and Benjamin Van Loon. She is also survived by her brother Gerald (Caralee) Smith, three nieces and four nephews. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by a son, Robert. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 23, 2016, 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 30900 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI. Rev. Jeremy Africa officiating.
