Evelyn Helbig, born September 10, 1915 died March 23, 2012. A long time Rochester resident, she is survived by her son Herb, daughter in law Deborah, grandchildren Lauren and Kelson and sister in law Eleanor Hoffman of Bradenton, Florida. Evelyn came to Rochester from Plainview, Long Island, New York in 1976. She was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church while in Michigan and as a classroom assistant at the Blanch Sims Elementary School in Lake Orion, Michigan where her grandchildren attended school. There will be a memorial service at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Rochester on Saturday March 31 at 11:00 am.
