

PALAIAN, Harold, age 80, a 47 year resident of Rochester Hills and a long-time Pontiac businessman, died November 18, 2011. A veteran of the United States Marine Corp., he and his sister owned the Green Parrot Restaurant in Pontiac for 38 years. He was the Past Worshipful Master of Pontiac Lodge #21 F & AM, former President of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, Past President of the Pontiac – North Kiwanis Club and past Lt. Governor of the Michigan Kiwanis. Beloved husband of Elsie, his wife of fifty-seven years. Dear father of Nicholas (Pam) Palaian, Melanie (John) Godoshian and the late Joy (Jack) Karakashian. Loving grandfather of Kevin, Lisa, Valerie and Monica. Brother of Goldie (Jim) Hargraves and Art (Joann) Palaian and uncle to his nieces and nephews.
