Of all the many blessings
However great or small
To have had you for an uncle
Was the greatest one of all.
The family chain is broken now
And nothing seems the same
But as God takes us one by one
The chain will link again.


My Uncle Jim was an honest man, he told you what he thought.  He was a talented man who could do anything he put his mind to. He was always busy doing something, a new magic trick, a computer program, a stain glass piece.   
He also had a great sense of humor and a laugh to go along with it.  He could talk to anyone.  A good man was my Uncle Jim.

I'm proud to have had him as an uncle and a part of my life. I will miss him

It will never be the same again but I am so happy for the time there was.  Rest in Peace Uncle Jim. I will always love you.

James Richard Crouchman was an extraordinary person. If you were lucky to glimpse a part of his charmed life you would know that he was lighthearted, fun loving and always smiling. His uniquely robust laugh was contagious.

Jim made living a charmed life look easy even though he had various challenges. Somehow, he found a way to overcome dilemmas, always with a glass half full attitude. He raised four children Rick, Cyndi, Cheri, and John, on his own after the loss of his first wife Sandra. He was fortunate to find a second love, Jill, and help raise two more children Eric and Craig.
Like most extraordinary people Jim made an impressing on everyone he met. He always had a magic trick up his sleeve, a joke to tell or some advice to give. A natural born entertainer and confidant. 

Jim was often tinkering on one, two or even three projects at a time. Some of his larger projects were building a camper out of a mail truck; which went on a road trip. Putting a small block engine in a racing boat that went so fast he almost lost more than one passenger. Jim loved to make a memory you would not soon forget, one of his favorite opportunities was creating Halloween displays that would always get a scream, followed by a laugh. The last few years you would find Jim in his work shop either on his computer creating some sort of gadget, computer program or app; or on his Lathe creating signs or artwork. 

I was extremely fortunate to be a part of his charmed life. As his daughter I am witness to many of his charms that he bestowed our family. When we create, entertain, tell a joke, or give advice I hear my fathers voice. I see my fathers influence each and everyday and know that he lives on with all of us.
