Laura Marie Rock, age 65, of Washington, MI passed away on March 2, 2022 in Bonita Springs, Florida. Laura was born on March 25, 1956 in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of the late Sherman and Irene Dickson.
She was a graduate of Rochester Adams High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (R.N.) from Bob Jones University. She married David Rock on June 16, 1979.
Laura had a love for people which was evident in a Nursing career for Trinity Health Care. Her faith in God was very important to her. She was a member of Faith Church in Rochester Hills, MI, and served on the Board of Widow’s Might Ministries for many years. She had a passion for Bike Riding, Horses, Singing and Board Games. The joy of her life was her children.
Laura is survived by her husband David; children Christopher of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Nathan of Fort Wayne, IN, and Stephanie of Lansing, MI; sister Gloria Dickson; and brothers Sherman Dickson, Paul Dickson and Steve Dickson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, from 4 PM to 8PM at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester. Laura's funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, March 21, at 10 AM at Faith Church in Rochester, MI .
