Linda Lee Wright (Harris), age 64, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away Monday October 5, 2020. Linda was born the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Harris (Yates) in Des Moines, Iowa on December 17, 1955. She moved to Southfield, Michigan at the age of five and graduated from Groves High School, class of 1973. Linda earned her bachelor degree in history from Oakland University and went on to study history at the master’s level. Linda was awarded the Meritorious Achievement award for outstanding graduate student. She was co-president of Phi Alpha Theta. She married Stephen Wright on November 23rd, 1978 in Southfield, Michigan. Linda served as an academic administrator in the college of Arts and Sciences, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the School of Nursing at Oakland University.
Linda loved live music and sports. She enjoyed tennis, bicycling, swimming, skiing, and ice skating.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Stephen; daughter Elizabeth (Ron Smerigan) Wright; and siblings David (Mariann) Harris, Richard (Theresa) Harris, and Susan (Philip) Shelton. She is predeceased by her parents.
Services will be private for the family.
