Mark E. Woliung, of Rochester Hills, MI, passed away at the age of 76 on January 4, 2026. Born on March 15, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Mark was the cherished child of H. Emerson and June Woliung. He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and pursued his education at Oakland Community College and Alma College.
Mark dedicated his life to serving his community. He was a respected police officer with the Rochester Police Department for 31 years and served as a School Police Liaison Officer for 23 years, primarily with students at Rochester High School and Reuther Middle School. His commitment to public service extended to the Rochester Fire Department, where he served for over 40 years.
His community involvement was extensive and included memberships with RARA, the Rochester Area Youth Assistance, the Optimist Club, and the Juvenile Officers Association. He was a partial owner of the Town Auto Center in Rochester, MI. Mark's contributions to his community will be fondly remembered.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Woliung, and his daughter, Michelle Marinelli. He was a proud grandfather to Addison and Hunter Marinelli. He is also survived by his brother, David Woliung (Sonya), and his sister, Kathy Crosby (Jim); along with nephews Matt and Scott.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Mark's honor at RJ's Pub, located at 288 W Tienken Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48306, on January 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
