Martin was born the son of Max and Frances (Nathanson) Kowalsky in the Bronx, New York on November 2, 1943. He graduated from Bronx High School of Science and continued his education at The City College of New York where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. After earning his degree, Martin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until he was Honorably Discharged. Martin had a successful career as a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry, running his own business (MSK Associates), until his semi-retirement in 2019.
Martin will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, and his love for collecting. He had extensive magazine and music collections which you could often find him perusing through. Martin also loved to read, travel, and dine out (he had an insatiable hunger for burgers).
Martin is survived by his triplet daughters, Kim, Lee, and Jill Kowalsky, whom he raised in Rochester, Michigan. Martin is also survived by his sister, Gail Kowalsky-Castro. Martin was predeceased by his parents.
