Mary Ruth Bunch

Mary Ruth Bunch, age 87, of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away Monday September 9, 2019. Mary Ruth was born the daughter of Cecil and Martha Jane (Roberts) Dotson in Wildee, Kentucky on October 3, 1931. She graduated from Trenton High School. Mary Ruth married Ambrous Weaver Bunch on in June 1952 in Trenton, Michigan at a double wedding with her brother Tommy and his wife Kitty. Mary Ruth and Ambrous raised their family in Pontiac where Mary has lived since 1954. Mary is a member of Columbia Avenue Baptist Church. Mary Ruth loved her family. She loved to cook for everyone, and travel to visit her cousins in Kentucky. She also loved her NASCAR.Mary Ruth is survived by her daughter Luci (Rick) Stockton; grand-children Angie Martin, Richard (Libby) Stockton Jr., and Elyse (Corey Van Steel) Martino; and great-grandchildren Haley, Jack, Jorja, Mark, Grace, and Brooklyn. Mary Ruth was predeceased by her husband Ambrous Bunch; children Dennis Bunch and baby Karen Bunch; parents Cecil and Martha (Roberts) Dotson; and siblings Tommy Dotson, Cecil Dotson Jr., and Zana Lucille.Mary Ruth’s family will welcome all for a visitation on Thursday September 12th from 1-4 pm and 6-8pm and on Friday September 13 from 10:00am until the time of funeral service at 11am at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ruth’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation or the Michigan Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
