

Mary Lynn was born on August 31, 1940 in Clarkston, daughter of the late Roderick and Mary Marguerite Muma. She graduated from Birmingham High School and later received an Associates degree from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. On January 25, 1964, she married Wally McCrindle and enjoyed 49 years of marriage until his passing in 2013.
Mary Lynn worked in the Building Department for the City of Rochester for 20 years until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and had a passion for her family, neighbors, and friends. She also had a great appreciation and enjoyed the arts, sewing, gardening and the City of Rochester. She was a gift to all, with her infectious smile, her loving heart, and her caring spirit. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by: her children, Melody McCrindle and Mark (Heidi) McCrindle; grandchildren Connor McCrindle and Brandon McCrindle; and her siblings Penny (Geoff) Burke, Jane Ann Davis & Robert K. Russell.
A celebration of Mary Lynn’s life will be held on September 4, 2024, at Pixley Funeral Home located at 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan, 48307. A memorial gathering will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a service at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
