

He was born on October 21, 1930, in McKeesport to the late Peter and Julia Bercik.Peter was a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Following graduation, he went on to open and own trade schools and proudly served as an advanced flight instructor in the United States Air Force.
Peter shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Margaret Mary Bercik. He was an avid hunter who also enjoyed growing orchids and succulents, and he loved playing the accordion and harmonica. Peter was also a pilot and found great joy in flying. He was a devout catholic and a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and Our Lady of the Miraculous.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mary; his children, Lynn Marie (the late Larry) Herrick, Mark Bercik, Brian Bercik, and Peggy Ann (Albert) Jones; his grandchildren, Paige Bercik, Austin Bercik, SaniAnne Jones, and Andrew Jones; and his great-grandchildren, Graisyn and Zadie. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Anne Finotti; sisters-in-law, Jackie Bercik and Verna Bercik; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard Bercik and Richard Bercik.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood Ave, Rochester, MI 48307
